How to Use the Penny Stock Screener
This screener filters all penny stocks in our database by price, volume, daily change, market cap, exchange, sector, and SEC filing status. Use the quick presets to jump to common screens, or build your own filter combination.
Screening strategies
- High volume + low price: Sub-penny stocks with 100K+ daily volume often signal active interest. Filter by price under $0.01 and volume over 100,000.
- SEC-current only: Use the SEC Filing Status filter set to "Current" to exclude dark and delinquent companies from your results — a basic quality filter.
- Breakout candidates: Filter for stocks with 5%+ daily gains and high volume. Cross-reference with the Insider Tracker to see if insiders were buying before the move.
- Dip buying: Filter for stocks down 5%+ on the day, then research whether the drop is dilution-driven (check with the Dilution Calculator) or news-driven.
